Dr. Pamela Tipler is a Hospitalist and Associate Professor of Medicine at Augusta University Health.  She leads the Global Health Interest Group for medical students and is co-director of the Global Health Task Force and Global Health Elective for M1s.  She is also core faculty for the International Medicine Fellowship.  She achieved her Diploma in Tropical Medicine from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.  Dr. Tipler lives and serves the Lord as a Medical Missionary in Uganda a total of 6 months out of the year.  She works with a local organization in Uganda called Raising Up Hope for Uganda, which focuses on getting children off the streets and providing them an education while also teaching them about Christ.  As a physician, Dr. Tipler provides wound care for street kids as well as providing medical care in outreaches in the slums and rural villages where there is no or limited access to care.
